Reels and video posts, not audio pages
VidiDown converts the audio of the Reel or video post you paste. Instagram’s own audio pages, which collect every Reel using a song, are not supported; open one Reel that uses the audio and copy its link instead.

Why is the song missing from my Instagram MP3?
Instagram does not always deliver licensed music with the video file. VidiDown can only convert the audio that comes with the video, so the song may be missing. The preview lets you check before saving.
What MP3 quality do I get?
A high-quality variable-bitrate MP3, typically about 190 kbps for music, from the best audio track Instagram provides. Conversion cannot improve on the original.
Can I convert an Instagram Story to MP3?
No. Stories, private accounts and content that requires a login are not supported. VidiDown never asks for your Instagram password.
Does it work for posts with several videos?
VidiDown uses the first video in a multi-video post. If you need another one, open it on its own and copy that link if Instagram provides one.
Which platforms work here?
Paste an individual public video link from Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or X. YouTube links are not supported. Profiles, playlists, private archives and broadcasts still in progress are not supported either.
Can I download just the audio as MP3?
Yes. Choose MP3 audio under Save as before you select Get video. VidiDown converts the video’s audio track to a high-quality variable-bitrate MP3, typically about 190 kbps for music. A video without an audio track cannot be converted.
Will the video keep its quality?
Best available selects the highest source quality the service can retrieve. The video streams are preserved without re-encoding or upscaling. Quality depends on the source, and the displayed size and duration limits still apply.
Can I save a completed livestream?
Published, publicly accessible replays may be supported after a broadcast ends and finishes processing. Long videos and larger files are detected automatically. Instagram and TikTok recordings must be published as normal accessible video posts; creator-only archives are not supported.
Where does the download go?
On iPhone, check Safari’s Downloads and the Files app. On Android, look in your browser’s Downloads folder. Your browser handles saving the file, and playback depends on the original video format.
Do you keep the videos I download?
