VidiDown is a video downloader operated by Younes Nadif. It prepares video downloads from links you submit. No account is required.

What we process

We send your submitted link to its source platform to prepare the requested video. The source platform receives requests from our server and applies its own privacy policy. We do not request or use your social-media passwords or browser login cookies.

We temporarily store the submitted link, basic video metadata, job state and prepared file. Files and job records expire after 30 minutes, with cleanup normally running within a minute. Active downloads can remain until their bounded job finishes. A necessary session cookie lets only your browser access its result and expires after one day.

Your current browser tab also keeps the latest request identifier, submitted link and quality preference in session storage so you can resume after a refresh. It is cleared when you start another video, when the result expires, or when the browser ends that tab session.

Usage limits and logs

We hash network addresses to apply usage limits; hourly limit records are removed after about one day. Operational logs can contain platform errors, but we redact video URLs from extraction errors. The website runs on Hostinger. YouTube requests are processed by our private AWS worker using Cloudflare WARP for its network connection. These infrastructure providers may process network information needed to operate the service. This service does not run advertising or third-party analytics scripts.
